This month we will be focusing on Empathy in our classes! James Baldwin, Author and Activist from the mid 1900s, wrote:

You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive.

Looking ahead to Spring Recital 2021: A Time to Dance!

Costumes will begin coming home with your dancers this month. Please know that even though all the costumes have been ordered, not all have arrived just yet. Some of the costume companies have extreme delays because of the pandemic, which is why we started placing our orders back in November! When your classes costumes are ready, your teachers will let the class know when it is time to come pick up your costumes at the studio.

When you receive your costumes, please try it on immediately. If it does not fit, bring it back to the studio as soon as possible so we have time to exchange it for the correct size.

Also this month, your dancers are learning choreography during their dance classes. If your dancer misses a class, be sure to use EDMC On Demand to access recordings of previous classes to review! You can find the link to this resource in all of the Friday weekly emails.
